Fill a bowl with water and mild detergent and place the shaft of the stick blender in the bowl. Then, briefly turn on the blender; this will loosen all food residues from the blades. Unplug the power cord and unscrew the shaft. Clean the base with a damp cloth and thoroughly dry the rod with a dry cloth. Be careful when drying the appliance, as the blades are very sharp.
